Euro-spec. JDM. Right-hand-drive. If you’re familiar with these terms, you probably have a car that’s been imported- or you live outside the United States. If you do own one of these rare, category-defeating cars, and want to upgrade your airflow system, you probably don’t have many options available. Since emissions laws differ in other countries, foreign-spec cars don’t tend to play well with our local O2 sensor systems (often much to the chagrin of the EPA), and this means US-spec air filters often can’t be optimized for your foreign-spec car.
Until now. K&N saw the problem and designed the 57i Series, that little “i” standing for “international.” Designed specifically for foreign-spec cars, the 57i provides a guaranteed power upgrade and is warrantied for a million miles. But just because they’re built for foreign cars doesn’t mean they need to get all snooty, like the maitre’d in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The 57i is perfectly affordable, just like the US-spec 57 series.
