CRATE ENGINE, E-STREET, EFI
The Ram Jet 350 crate engine blends the best of old and new. Originally offered in the late-1950s, the Ram Jet 350 has been improved with a styled intake plenum that fuels a state-of-the-art, electronically controlled port fuel injection system. The sophisticated, latest-generation MEFI 4 controller increases reliability and economy for great all-around drivability.
The classic crate engine that's ready to run right out of the box. The ZZ4 is rated at 355 hp/405 lb.-ft. and includes everything needed to get it running-from the carburetor and starter to popular accessories.
The ZZ4 350 comes shipped to you with an aluminum dual-plane intake manifold, HEI distributor, cast iron dampener water pump, and flexplate. Simply bolt on a carburetor, starter, fuel pump, and plug wires and you're ready to go.
If you're looking for big-block power from a small block engine, the Chevy ZZ383 is what you need. The ZZ383 mixes Fast Burn aluminum performance heads with a 383 stroker small-block that can produce up to 425 horsepower and 449 lb.-ft. of torque. With the ZZ383/425, you get the power of a big-block with the size and weight of an aluminum-headed small-block.
It's a 502 big-inch engine an 11 fuel-injected intake manifold slapped on top. Along with just looking cool, the Ram Jet intake greatly increases the throttle response to the 502. The aluminum head and fuel injection creates 502 horsepower and 565 lb.-ft. of torque. The Ram Jet intake gives you more torque in the upper RPM range.
For the truck that needs the most low-RPM torque, GM has the HT 383 small-block.The engineers at GM stuffed this engine with reliable, torque-producing parts that will give you the hill-flattening power you need for years to come. The HT383 produces 435 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm, with more than 400 lb.-ft. of torque from 2500 rpm all the way up the 4000 rpm redline. This engine is equipped with heavy-duty rods, a 383 stroker forged steel crankshaft,, and hypereutectic pistons. The block is cast iron with 4-bolt main caps.
