I lowered my 97 cobra over 2 years ago and it recently started scraping when going speed bumps and backing into my garage. I was at the point where I couldn't put a lot of weight in my car also but did not want to change the stance of my Cobra. I tried putting air shocks on the car but it changed the stance which is why I lowered it to begin with. I decided to try the air lift system and can now say to all those lowered stangs out there that are having the bottoming out blues I this is your solution! Read the mustang forums like I did and you'll find a lot of articles where they don't recommend them, most likely never tried them but will recommend buying real expensive springs based on what they have heard. What I say is contact a rep from Air lift like I did, tell him the dimensions inside your springs and he'll set you up with the right air bags for your car. It took me about 45 minutes to install them and I did not have to remove the springs. Now my stance stays right where I like it, I can put more weight in the car and best of all......my "bottoming out blues" are history. I shopped around for the lowest price and thought for sure ebay was where I would find the deal. STREETSIDE AUTO not only had the lowest price but it included shipping.
