This tailgate is much better than my old one, but as others have said the cable bolt is a loose fit, I just put on a nylon bushing (fits inside hole of cable end) and a nylon washer and it works perfect now. I don't know why they don't make it so you can use the bolt from the dodge tailgate. I also think I can bend the truck end of the cable and switch the retaning clip to the other side so I don't have to twist the cable. I will do an update if it works.

Great product. Looks a lot better and sturdier than the ABS gates for just a little more money! I installed this on a 2010 Dodge Ram. I have only 3 comments. The bolt to attach the cable to on the tailgate is about a 1/8 in smaller in diameter than the hole in the cable end so it doesn't fit perfectly but still works ok. A larger washer between the bolt head and cable end holds it tight. Also the cable tailgate end is kind of off set. I had to bend it to prevent it from contacting the bed framing. Also once the cable was installed there was very little clearance between the 2 ends of the cable when the bed is closed. Overall a very nice product.
