Easy to install, most noticeable difference occurs in 1st and 2nd gears. Data logged LTFT before and after, bounces between 3-7%, almost were my car was before. AFR's under WOT seem to dropped quicker than stock tune. Not totally buying into claimed performance gains but there is a difference and would recommend this tune with mild bolt on's. I understand it is supposed to download your stock tune, but I did not see this step during the install process. I have not tried to re-install stock tune, so I can not say if there are issues or not.

Temps have been pretty low in Michigan so I have not pushed it to see how it responds at higher r's yet. Overall very pleased with car's responsiveness at low speeds. After tune I waited about 50 miles then reset ECU by disconnecting battery. Recommended to help the ECU re-learn fuel trims quicker.

Mazda RX-8 2006 Automatic. Very easy to install and program. Power did not seem to increase much after but fuel economy did increase in the automatic mode. If you use the manual shifters, it actually seems like the gas gets used faster than before the installation. Really like the extra rev limiter and the temp fan turn on temp. I was aware that you cant squeeze to much more power out of the rotary engine than stock so the small amount it did get is good.

The Max Energy programmer is a great unit if you want to use "off the shelf" programs and don't plan on doing a lot of dyno tuning and other programming. It is very simple and asks only a few easy to understand questions before uploading the performance program. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars on everything is the programmer itself isn't SUPER good looking (who cares) and it had to be updated via the internet before it could be installed (which is actually a good thing for the unit to be internet updatable). The perormance change is quite good and feelable, although I will have to wait till I have the car dyno tested or run at the track till I know for sure how big a change it has made
