Comments about Paramount Restyling 16601:
Don't waste your money and time on this product. After removing and inventorying all of the supplied parts I noticed that 2 of the most important pieces were missing. Talked with manufacturer and told me I have to wait several days before I can talk to someone about my missing parts. Frustrating because the whole thing is taking up space in my garage until I can finish the rack.
Trying to put together is a pain. Most of the pre-drilled holes do not line up with the other supporting holes so you have to drill out the holes to enlarge them. Even though the website states that it will fit my 99 Tacoma, the bed rails are too thin to support the supplied rack rails. The ladder rack ultimately wants to roll over the edge of my truck bed. The supplied u-bolts for non-drill application does not work. The bolts when tightened end up slipping away from the truck bed rail where contact is supposed to be made for optimum performance. Again I have to wait to talk to someone at the manufacturer.
Very difficult to align and get straight on your vehicle. Setup needs more than 2 people for optimum alignment and installation. Too hard for 2 people. Pad the roof of your truck roof and bed rails. If you follow the supplied instructions you will more than likely dent your roof or scratch the side of your truck because of the rack falling down during installation.
Shipping was free on my part but for me to pack up and ship back to manufacturer I would pay quite a bit more money in shipping just to receive some money back. I think I am going to go talk to my machinist and have him manufacture me some modified bed rails that will fit my truck. Probably going to cost me 1/3rd of the original cost but chalk one up to lesson learned..."You get what you pay for." I do not recommend this rack to anyone.
