Comments about Westin 31-5490 E-Series Bull Bar 3 in. Dia. Polished Stainless Steel:

I ordered the "E" series based on it's "clean" appearance and Westin reputation for quality Streetsideauto.com's customer service was the only positive aspect of this purchase. I received the bull bar promptly and proceeded to install the item. Right off the bat my first impression of the bar was that it had a "cheap" or "tinny" feel to the bar and skid plate. Installing a bull bar is not difficult but it's good to have easy to understand instructions, the instructions for this item were very short and sweet which is fine but I found that some of the nuts and bolts contained were not associated not noted on the list parts. I began the install but stopped prior to completion due to the overall cheap feel of the item. Having owned a Westin Ultimate BB previously and feeling that this "E" series was of lesser quality I contacted Streetsideauto.com to see if I could return this bar and order an "Ultimate" BB. Streetside approved my return and the order for the "Ultimate" bar was placed. I placed the order for the "Ultimate" bar at 3pm on Wednesday and the Ultimate BB was on my door step by 3pm the next day without any expidited shipping which says a lot for "free" shipping. I opened the box for the Ultimate BB and had the item installed within a half hour. Oh and the instructions for the Ultimate bar explained what the extra nuts and bolts were for, for mounting the bar on a truck w/o tow hooks which was not mentioned in the "E" series bar.
