    Almost perfect

    Comments about Yakima 8002425:

    I'm a new bike rack user but have borrowed some that are different styles than the DoubleDown. I have my wife's and two daughter's (kids) bikes and all four fit fine with a little improvisation. Glad to have the 5-bike setup for a little extra room.

    My only concern was that I asked if it would natively fit a 2" receiver and only use an adapter when needing 1 1/4". I was told yes when it is actually the other way around. Bounces a bunch because of this but I may try a shim in there.

    As well, Yakima wants me to use a threaded hitch pin to secure the rack to the hitch...WHY?! I had a locking pin that I used with trailers and other racks that will not work unless I drill out the adapter for the 2" receiver. Lame!

    Otherwise, outstanding service and speed on the delivery. I also saved approximately $75 from other sales sources.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Excellent carrier. It looks good on back of my car, its very easy to use. The way it folds down and swings down is nice and easy. When folded down it sticks out less than a foot from my bumper. Only annoyance with it is that my parking sensors pick it up. Price on these Yakima Double-downs are a bit higher than some other carriers, but worth it for a high quality carrier.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
